Funny Motivational Speaker is Never Surprised by Traveler Stupidity
Funny Motivational Speaker and Travelers.
I’ve been traveling as a funny motivational speaker for over forty years and I’ve seen some crazy stuff, but this is just too funny and weird to ignore. While going through security at the airport the other day, I couldn’t help but notice the older couple in front of me. They were loud. I’m guessing they were in their 70’s, and they were yapping at each other incessantly. I know you’ve seen those couples that never have a conversation, only an argument. That’s what was going on here and they had perfected it after 50 years of practice.
Here’s the recap.
“Herb, don’t forget your shoes. You’ve gotta’ take off your shoes. And the cell phone too. Get that out of your pocket.”
“Damn it, Mildred, I’m going as fast as I can. And I know about the shoes and the cell phone. I’m not an idiot.”
“Well you wouldn’t know it today. You just took us to the wrong security area and you’ve screwed up every part of this trip so far. And we’re not even on the plane yet.”
“We’d be on the plane if you could read a clock. I wasn’t the one that couldn’t get a bag packed on time. It’s always a pain when we go see your sister. I’m staying home next time.”
It never stopped, even while they were sitting in the boarding area. Then they got on the plane and it escalated.
“Mildred, do you have the cell phone?”
“Of course I don’t, you had it. You’ve always had it. God knows why, because you don’t know how to operate it. And now you’ve lost it. And you wonder why I call you an idiot?”
“If you hadn’t been yellin’ at me in the security line, this wouldn’t have happened. You got me distracted. It’s your fault.”
“How is it my fault that you’re an idiot?”
“Stop calling me an idiot and just forget about the phone, I hate those dang things anyway. Just shut up. I’m gonna sit here, try and relax, and slip off my shoes ’cause my feet are killin’ me.”
“I wish I could call my sister right now and tell her we’re not coming.”
“Well that would be just fine with me, why don’t you call her. Here’s the cell phone. I found it in my shoe.”
This guy had apparently put the phone in his shoe as he ran it through the X-ray machine and then slipped his shoes on with the phone inside. He walked about 100 yards to the boarding area after that without noticing.
Turns out she was right. He was an idiot.
